| Review of MILF Cruiser:
MILFy MILFy MILFy. It's MILF Madness. Every reality site I've seen lately seems to have a MILF site in its network. I have no problem with that. In fact, I might register MILFMadness.com and start my own! I like MILF sites that much. I was a mature woman fan back when it wasn't "cool." Back when people considered such yearnings weird, and unhealthy. And boy oh boy was it hard to find mature porn back then. Since then, it's blossomed much like the reality genre! So its a natural match, correct? MILF Cruiser is todays site, and we will see if it stands up to the top MILF sites in the genre.
MILFCruiser.com is a reality site with the theme of going around and picking up hot older woman and having sex with them. Not exactly a bad job, is it? In fact, I'd kill to have a job like that. But until then, slinging dildoes will have to do! It's a pure reality site with the reality look, the reality feel, and the reality touch. It doesn't do much to seperate itself from other reality sites, and the theme is a little stagnant- so the content better be up to par! We'll see about that now!
The site design of MILF Cruiser was nothing too special. When you signed into the site, you are given one thumbnail of the girl and options to view their pictures/videos. The one thumbnail is a good thumbnail, but one picture usually cannot give an accurate portrait of an entire series. And that is the case here. I'd like it if they had a few smaller thumbnails as well. The site design otherwise is also cluttered. There are leased site links everywhere, on the top, on both sides, and on the bottom of the page. Sure, it's cool extra content, but organize it better and keep it individual from the original stuff. Because of these issues, the site design does suffer a bit. It's not unbearable or anything. But it definately could be improved greatly.
I must now put the hugest asterik in a review I have ever put. The videos here are done with DRM, which stands for Digital Rights Management. Which is a system that only allows the content to be viewed while you are a member of the website. You are prompted for a password at the beginning of a movie. Even if its saved on your computer. Now, this could spark a big debate and I'm not going to use this review to push my opinion either way. Thats what the message board is for, and if anyone wants to discuss I'll be glad to talk about it there. But for now, lets just say that this feature is here, so unless you are planning to be a member of these sites for a long time, you will not be able to keep any of the content here on MILF Cruiser.
When you consider it, there are three options when it comes to video content now. You can download the videos, stream the videos, and now there are the DRM videos which you can do either one but you can't keep them. Where does DRM stand, in my book? Well, I think that DRM is probably the least desirable of the three options for me right now. When you can download the videos, that is the best. You save them, burn them on a CD, and break them out a few months later and its like new porn content without having to pay for a site all over again. Streams are effective too, and thats because you can go on there, watch in your browser and not have any real "mess" left in case you are on a community computer. Also, there are ways for you to save your streamed videos. You may have to be more computer saavy to do it, but thats why there are places like Pornliving to gain that saavy! Streaming movies were originally (and still) meant to prevent people from saving the movies. I think in some twisted webmasters minds, they think that will keep people members longer and save them bandwith. Lets face it, the average membership to a porn site is one month or a trial period. People download all the content, and then move on. You really need something special to stay a member to a site. It has to hit you in a certain way, it needs awesome update schedules, and it needs lots of content. With all this said, DRM just doesn't stand up to your other two options. There is no trick to get around it (afaik) and that just ruins the whole thing for me. When I pay for a porn site, I pay for the content. I should deserve to keep it, and watch it at will. $40 is damn high for a porn rental, if you ask me, and thats what I consider this DRM business.
Well, after all that, hehe, the videos here are done in WMV format. They are segmented into many segments, and you can download them in either high or low bandwith. The common segment length seems to be about seven minutes. Each girl has plenty of segments, meaning most of the videos end up being pretty long. The video quality here on MILF Cruiser is pretty damn good. In fact, the videos here stand among the better I've seen on reality sites. You can full screen them without too much loss of quality, and the small screen ones look perfect. They also stream pretty damn fast considering their size. Lots of good quality videos here, and this is definately what I would consider the sites strongest feature!
MILF Cruiser also has a pictures section. Needless to say, I was slightly disappointed by the pictures here. The thumbnails looked horribly grainy here. When you go to the full screen picture, you are slightly relieved that the full screens are not as bad. But then you just realize that there is something slightly off about these pictures. They just do not look right. It feels, and people with glasses know what I mean, like you are looking at the action through dirty glass. I figured with DRM they would at least put an effort into giving us something good to save. But I guess customer happiness is not priority number one with the folks on this site, because I can't see anybody who prefers DRMs AND crappy pictures. The pictures are bad, and its a new kind of bad that I really cannot describe accurately.
The girls on MILF Cruiser are not the best in my book. Instead of getting hot older women, these girls just seem like old porn stars who couldn't find a job anywhere else. My first issue is with their breasts. I see GIGANTIC ta-ta's here. I don't have a problem with that if this is a tit fetish site, but these are giant and fake and just not good for a MILF site IMO. The girls are attractive, trust me, I wouldn't kick them out of bed. But I just don't think they fit into the MILF scene very well. I think the webmasters tried a bit too hard to make the site accessible to everyone, and by doing that it just seems like a pornstar site. I would go for a more natural look, for the theme. But hey, some of you might like it, so check out the previews first naturally.
The action on MILF Cruiser is straight up sex, with two guys and one girl. While there is nothing too special going on here, there are some anal parts that many of you people are into! It's all doubleteam stuff here, as I mentioned. There is a fair amount of time spent on setup, but usually the setup also has some mild foreplay (second/third base!) so that is also cool. But still, the setup last a little long for my tastes. The videos run pretty long too, but they never seem too boring or overbearing.
I usually don't touch on price in the review, unless it is ridiculously cheap or ridiculously expensive. Guess which one it is here? With the entire DRM issue, at least offer a discounted membership! Instead, these guys are asking for a cool ten extra dollars a month. I just don't understand it. The trial is extremely reasonable, but thats it! Cut the price down, fellas!
At the time of review, there were 10 girls on MILF Cruiser. Considering the length and quality of the episodes, this is a decent number. There is no timestamping or mention of how often the site is updated, so I can't help you with that aspect of the site. You do, however, get lots of bonus content. Specifically you get 5 other reality sites; Girls Hunting Girls, Teen Hitchhikers, Nude Beach House, Euro Bride Tryouts, and Big Sausage Pizza (that one sounds cool, hehe). A nice reality package, but they all have the DRM issue.
Conclusion
Unlike its sister Euro Bride Tryouts, which I just reviewed as well, this site does not overcome the DRM and design/picture issues enough with its content to be worth its weight in gold. I'd definately recommend going to the previews page and seeing what you think of the girls first. While EBT had a cool original theme with awesome girls, this site has a stale theme with nothing new added, and subpar girls that would fit well in another genre. I'm going to recommend to avoid here.
