| Review of Bubble Girls:
I've received quite a few e-mails about bubblegirls.com since the review first came up and upon receiving the last one I became aware that the site had undergone major changes and a re-visit had to be done.
Bubblegirls.com has established itself in the online adult world as a quality/unique site over the years and I remember when reviewing this site the first time I was totally in to the girls. The quality wasn't mind blowing then and there were no videos but all the girls were just pretty as hell to look at, pure eye candy. The creators have not strayed from this successful recipe, they still feature smoking hot looking ladies.
I think it's very unfortunate that the webmaster has chosen to basically not inform the surfers of what they will get when/if they join the site. The "tour" consists only of the main page where 6 thumbnails are displayed with a "new" on them and that's it. You do not get to see a single sample of quality before joining and the site doesn't try to tell you what the site is about. If you click a thumbnail or the join button, however, there is something you should read. Here it says that you will find only streaming movies and that they are all Quicktime format.
I have never been too thrilled about that Quicktime format to be honest as I find that it has never run 100% on Windows computers. I have had some difficulties with it in the past and I have read many angry e-mails about it and I don't understand why a site today would choose to go 100% .mov but it did, and even if we disagree with the format we can't deny the quality. The quality of these movies is awesome and with added (great) feature to zoom in on the clips you get to take it all in. Aaah to be able to save these great movies, alas we can't.
In case you haven't figured it out yet by the way, this is a softcore site that focus low paced intimate videos of the girls. The clips start out with observing shots of the models from here on they slowly get naked and usually they either masturbate or get played with by a guy (whos face you never see of course). There is no talking just a silently observing camera and it all works very well and makes for great erotic clips. And did I mention the hot girls?
Sadly not all updates come with video clips only half do actually. The site is updated only once a week, and to be honest I don't one picture set a week to be an awesome update ratio.
The pictures here are good as well, but quality wise, compared to the videos, they are really only mediocre. Don't get me wrong they are of nice quality but that's also it, nothing spectacular about them. The resolution is medium and they are all watermarked quite clearly with the model's name and "bubblegirls" this takes way too much attention at this resolution. Still the girls are pretty (still!) and the shots are good so you can't deny that these are great pictures for those who love to explore the female body, and who doesn't?
The site is as mentioned supposed to be updated once a week and it has been all they was up until the middle of January 2005 after that nothing has happened (time of review is feb 15) so 4 updates are missed so far. The archive is still is enough to justify a membership however as it dates back to March 2000 with each month containing 4 picture sets and 2-4 with video. Actually as you go back in time in the archive you will find that more sets come with videos than the latest updates. Combine this with the lack of recent updates as well and you might begin to think the site isn't really being monitored at all anymore.
Conclusion
Bubblegirls.com still does it for me. I love the girls and I think the videos are great even if I only get to look at them while I am a member. It should also be noted here as it is on the join page, that these video are only for broadband users as they are very big in size and take a while to stream even on a high connection. The pictures disappointed me a little now as they haven't kept up with the times and the sharpness and resolution make them seem pretty cookie cutter. So if you look at a low update ratio, even a lack of updates and the fact that the movies are only streamed in Quicktime you should be pretty sure that these girls will do it for you before you join. I can't recommend a full month membership here to start with. Unfortunately there is only a $10, 10 day trial so that's the smallest amount you can get a peak with. If you dig softcore especially it will be worth a look but in the long run you probably won't want to stick around.
