| Review of Amateurs Gone Bad:
Sometimes you just stumble across things. People in their lives will have stumbled across lots of important things. Sometimes its a signifcant other, sometimes its an employment opportunity. You weren't out there looking but it came knocking to you. Well thats what happened with me and this website. I wasn't looking for a big photo site. In fact, I've been feeling the video side of things for a while now. But this one came up and bit me right on the ass! I introduce you to Amateurs Gone Bad.
Amateurs Gone Bad is a traditional, old school porn site in almost every aspect. There is no theme at all. Sure, we could call the amateur thing a theme. But thats like saying the fact that it has women on it is also a theme. But sometimes, its fun to take a journey into the old days. I remember spending hours and hours looking at porn pictures on the internet. Nowadays, I spend ten minutes queueing downloads, then I go watch a movie. Later on, I spend ten minutes watching the videos. It just doesn't have the same charm as spending an all nighter on the web looking at nakey women. Amateurs Gone bad brought that charm back to me.
When you first sign onto Amateurs Gone Bad, you will be a little confused. The site is set up like an old TGP gallery almost. The site is a gigantic list of "Gallery 1" and "Toni" etc. Just all text links taking you where you need to go. When you select the link, you are given a gallery of thumbnails that is more like a traditional pictures page setup. Now, normally I would belittle a site for this design. But with the amount of content on Amateurs Gone Bad, I really cannot think of a better way to organize it. Sure, it adds a little extra step, but I think that for this particular site, it works.
The pictures are far and away the focus here on Amateurs Gone Bad. The pictures take three different forms: theres the original amateurs, theres one section that has porn stars/models before they were stars, and theres also a bonus section. These are all interesting sections. For the bonus and the main part, you click the text link, and are taken to a gallery of 10 or so sets. From there you select the girl you like, and are given a pageful of her thumbnails. This is kinda weird. Some of these girls have LOTS of pictures, and the galleries seem to run on forever. This can be bad for dialup users. I'm usually not sympathetic to the plight of dialup users, but since this is a picture site primarily, I can relate! So if there was one thing I'd change technically, it'd be to make the galleries split into a few pages.
The pictures look very clear and are very well shot pictures. They are 600x800 pixels, which isn't super high resolution, but it works. I know some people out there like the super huge pictures, but this works just fine in my book and looks good. For those of you looking for a quick fix, the site has a quick zip options where you can download a zip file of all the pictures in a set in one fell swoop. Some people might expect more choices in picture resolution for a pictures site, but this suits me just fine.
There is also a little videos section here on Amateurs Gone Bad. And considering everything I've already said about tradition and huge focus on pictures, Amateurs Gone Bad has a pretty decent video section as well. They are all done in one minute segments, which is probably the biggest issue with the videos. The are done in 656k WMV, and look really good all things considered. I full screened them without too much of a problem. They run smooth and they are what I'd consider shorter movies. Some of them can run up to 18 minutes, but that is still relatively short.
The action here on Amateurs Gone Bad is pretty good. As with a lot of modern photo sites, the action is primarily solo female. But that doesn't mean its softcore action. Instead, they get pretty hardcore, but its just them. There are some male/female sets and some lesbian sets scattered throughout, but the vast majority is female solo. The females are pretty stunning. While not 100% "amateur", the girls are very very beautiful. I say they are not amateur in that, this doesn't look like your next door neighbor. Instead, it looks like the hottest girl in your neighborhood. It may not be a true professional, but its someone who looks like they could be. The before they were stars galleries are pretty revealing as well. Its fun looking at these girls and saying, how innocent they look before they've been impaled by a hundred penises for a living.
At the time of review, there were a total of 150+ pages of content in the main section, and about ten sets per page. On top of that, there is also the bonus section, and the videos, and the before they were stars section. So basically, you get a lot of stuff here. Enough to warrant no bonus sites. But, there are bonuses. First there is the official Crissy Moran site, which is very good for what it is. That one is more along the lines of this site, but as a single model deal. Then theres the Glamour Girls Gone Wild site, which is more like a video/professional compliment to this site. And that has a ton of videos to download, so you really cannot lose with a membership here.
Conclusion
This is a very good, varied pictures site. With the network, you can get your fill of both videos and pictures. But this is good to get away from all that video stuff for a while. No worries about download times, video types, or anything like that. Just point and click your way to beautiful women! It's not exclusive but still a good experience.
