| Review of New Nude City:
Ever been to New York City? I live about two hours away from the city, which is just perfect. You can do day trips to NYC and have a blast. Maybe even a few overnight trips as well. Everything seems different when you are in the city, like its a completely different world. Everywhere, there tends to be so many different things going on at once. What might be a huge attraction anywhere else in the world, is just a little thing in NYC. The nightlife there is outstanding. I'm not a big bar guy, but everyone has to go to a bar in the city at least once in their life. It's just an aura. New Nude City is a photo site spinoff of New York City, which is pretty interesting.
New Nude City is a pictures-focused site. The theme here is the city. New York City to be exact. And unlike weak themed sites, where theres a name and thats it, the theme is central to New Nude City. In every section, you are constantly reminded of the theme. Although its not prevalent in the photos, you still know whats up almost all the time. And the theme is pretty unique in an artsy sort of way. Not many sites are set up like this, and while the theme has nothing to do with either the action or really with the girls either, it is still a successful theme just due to the site design.
When you first sign onto New Nude City, you are given a members site which is organized very uniquely. You see, the girls are mixed into different "sections" of the town. The sections include Soho, Greenwich, Times Square, Spanish Harlem, etc. Each of the sets is categorized in a category that would fit it. For example, you can find the "tattooed rock chicks and jaded porn stars" on the East Side. Rock and roll! Thats just an example of how each girl/set fits into the theme of the category. Kind of a cool concept, a little different, but cool. And if you think it's stupid, you can also go by a traditional model list, selectable from the top. The front page shows the most recent updates, also listing what section they belong to even though you can check the update from right there on the front page. Theres also a model of the week link, which is actually kind of cool because the thumbnail is a bit bigger. There is a little ad, in the form of promoting some of the site photographers other work. It's small and unintrusive, but I still don't like the idea of sites doing that.
Well the focus of New Nude City is the pictures. Once you select the section of the site you want to go to, you are given a page with a large thumbnail of the latest update as well as 8 smaller thumbnails of preview updates. This is set up in a frame sort of way, where so if you go to the next 8 small thumbnails the big one on the left hand side stays the same. Cool setup, but the thumbnails could be bigger or at least have a better focus on the girls. A lot of them were just far-away shots where you can't see anything. Once you select a girl, you get a page with 21 thumbnails. Each set has about 3 or 4 pages of content. The thumbnailling here is a lot bigger, and a ton more better.
You have options! For each picture in the gallery, you can select to view it at 600 or 1400 pixels. Nice options for the big picture fan. Personally I go with lower to save on hard drive space, but I know a lot of people out there like to have the ultra high resolution pictures, so we both get what we want. Don't want to download each individual picture and save it? No problem! New Nude City has ZIP files of each set hidden at the top of the gallery page as well. Even better, the zips come in both high and low resolution. Now lets talk quality. Clear, beautiful pictures from a technical standpoint. And the creator of this site is a professional photographer, so you can bet the quality is tight. And it really is. The photos here are stunning, great poses, great shots. Richard Kern's work can be a little "dark" sometimes, in lighting. I'm not the biggest fan of that, but some people are, so thats cool. Not every set was dark either, but some were. Just a heads up. There is also a very good search function here. A very worthy pictures section if you ask me.
There is also a little videos section on New Nude City. These are all just short clips, not full extended scene movies here. There are three video options, WMV, MOV, or AVI. All three tend to have about the same file size and quality. Each set only has one little thumbnail, a weak one like the others actually, so you are kind of running blind with the videos. The quality on these videos is just okay. There seems to be a lot of pixelation, despite a relatively high bitrate. Not sure how that happened. But these videos are pretty cool to watch on the small screen. Try not to full screen them though! Still, for a pictures site with a small focus on videos, these were passable and they are definately cool as an addition to the pictures on the site.
The girls on New Nude City run the gamut from being awesome to being kinda blah. Those "dark" sets I wrote about before, I'm not sure if the girls just aren't being highlighted right, or if they are just plain ugly, but they did absolutely nothing for me. Theres also a high amount of "fullbush" women who don't seem to shave or trim themselves very often. This might turn off more people to this site. With all this said, the girl selection is not terrible, just something somewhat in the middle. The action is basically posing action, starting off softcore and working its way to some spreading. A lot of sets don't have insertion, so if you are looking for ultra hardcore stuff, not here. And theres no men in any of the sets. Pretty much what should be expected from a photo focused site.
At the time of review, there were a total of 210 photo sets. Absolutely huge number, awesome and theres not a whole lot of repetition of models either. There were also 25 video sets in addition to that. Awesome amount of content, and with daily picture updates and weekly video updates- you are bound to get more and more awesome content. No bonus sites, but with daily picture updates you don't really need them- more than enough here to be worthy of a membership
Conclusion
Good photos site, a little artsy but not enough to throw off the regular porn fan. Look into the previews first, but I think you'll be wanting to take a quick trip to New Nude City if you are a photos fan!
