| Review of Vulis Archives:
People are renowned for different reasons. Some people are known for achievements, things they have done in their life that makes them respected in their field. The Latvian artists Ralf Vulis is a renowned artist, or so it is implied here. Ralf is a very interesting photographer and pornographer. This site is an archive of his work, aptly titled Vulis Archive.
Vulis Archive is a traditional website with a variety of themes. When you boil it all down, it's a true traditional old school site in that it has no theme really. It's just a site based on the work of Ralf Vulis and it's more themed to his artist impressions of pornography than any specific theme that you can give a site. As so, it might be a little artsy and weird, but that can be cool sometimes too!
The site design of Vulis is a little sketchy. I've just done two sites done the same way, just with different themes. Even on the third site, I'm not fully comfortable with the site design. It's just weird. When you sign on, you get an updates page with all the months updates. From there, you have to select a girl from a small thumbnail, and then that will popup one big window. From there, you can see the galleries. I'm talking about pictures, as this is primarily a picture site. The site is also just regularly disorganized, with a sloppy toolbar and a members section which looks just like the free preview section with just a few links thrown in to get to the actual content. It's hard to navigate and it's confusing, and I just wish it could be a little bit better.
The main attraction of Vulis is the pictures, as they are the beefiest and the most regularly updated section. The pictures come in both high resolution and low resolution formats. The high resolution pics are beautiful. They are big, but when you fit them to screen they just look great. The best part about them is that you can also download full zip files of them, which allows you to have all the pictures of a set on your hard drive. This is good and easier to navigate, just set up a slide show and roll!
The action on the pictures is cool. Ralf likes to do things a little weird. Like there will be a set of a girl doing aerobics or something. It's a little strange, a little artsy, but all together cool. One advantage of the previews being pretty much the same as the members page is that you can check out the sets and at least what they are like before you actually join up. This is cool and can give you a good feel for the visions of Vulis, which may be a little more "unique" than you are used to and for your tastes.
The Vulis archives also have videos that are a little different than norm. These videos come in WMV, MOV, or AVI format for your pleasure. They are not long videos, rather shortened clips. This makes for superfast downloading, but a lower quality. The movies really aren't anything special quality wise. But like a video site with vidcaps, this really isn't their focus and it's just nice to have a little videos section.
The girls on Vulis are pretty attractive girls. They are doing some odd things sometimes, but they are looking good when they do them! You are mainly getting white girls here on Vulis, looking a little European in style. As I said, they are attractive but the action is kind of weird and it might turn you off a little bit. The action is described as being fetish, humor, and a bunch of other things all at once.
Vulis Archives has the awesome update schedule of adding a set on a daily basis. This leads to a huge number of content over the year.. 300+ picture sets, plus the videos, makes this a great deal despite a lack of bonus sites. And the way the membership is layered, it actually encourages you to be a member of the site for a while and rewards you for that with a discounted membership after your first month. So, a great deal in general!
Conclusion
A little weird, a little different from the norm. Check out the previews and see if you'll enjoy. The pictures are very good aesthetically, but you have to like the action if you want to like the pictures. Also the picture quality of the high resolution pics is just not as good as on it's sister sites, pleasure-archives and angel-archives. Missing some sharpness in the picture quality but overall a good site for fans of photographer sites.
