Review of Chicks Go Both Ways:
Introduction:

This is another reviewer's nightmare. I'd like to pretend that I joined www.chicksgobothways.com on the strengths of its own content, but it's impossible to talk about one site in a network of 11 full-featured sites that come with a single $29.99/month membership here. By way of an introduction to the full range, here's the current list: HotBodsCoolRides, SupermarketWhores, HornyTraveler, RateMyTranny, MILFsearcher, InternetHookups, GaySugarDaddy, Guys in the City, RubandTug, and FuckedForFree, all dot com. Just looking over the titles you get a sense of the range or material and, I expect, a bit of the sense of humor that most of this stuff has to offer.

As you're likely reading this review because you were interested in a girl-girl site, you probably don't need to hear a thorough review of Guys in the City or Gay Sugar Daddy. The transvestite site contributes to the niche (kitch?) factor here, offering you the possibility of judging how feminine the featured model is on a one to ten scale. MILF, if you're out of the highschool/porn industry slang loop, stands for Mother's I'd Like to Fu*k. As for the rest, they all more or less share the same formula.

Riding on the recent wave of "reality porn" sites and films, chicksgobothways.com (as well as the other hetero, hardcore sites listed above) involves a very small film crew and a series of girl-girl scenarios that supposedly focus on first-time lesbian experience. Looking at the 16 performances, which are pretty hot all around in my opinion, I'm pretty skeptical about the lesbian "virginity" of experience some of the models, but unless you're hellbent on the amateur distinction, this is unlikely to represent a problem. Lots of toys get put to the task here and I'm convinced that the vast majority of these women are in it for more than the money.

The other sites in this bundle, as I've said, have roughly the same format. Rubandtug.com has a massage parlor theme; hotbodscoolrides.com involves, unsurprisingly, sex on and around exotic and vintage cars; MILF is a right-up-the-middle mature site that doesn't range into grandmother territory. Probably the most provocative of the lot here are supermarketwhores.com and fuckedforfree.com, both of which take on the "out on the prowl" theme that's been popular recently. Predictably enough, the supermarketwhores site involves a pair of guys who pick up women in a grocery store and its parking lot and take them home for cheap and raunchy thrills. The scenes from fuckedforfree.com that I checked out featured various teams of loudmouthed cameramen and beefcake-type Dicks who deceive Czech women in Prague into having sex for "a lot of money." They get a lot of mileage out of the women's broken English and outright gullibility. After a proper working over, the two women that "star" in each scene are told to go get in the shower, at which point the guys split, taking the girls' clothes and shoes just to be sure they don't give chase. Now that's either the most disgraceful or the funniest thing I've seen in a while. You'll have to decide which. Again, though, I'm dubious. All the models play to the camera like (semi)pros and have shaved within the past 24 hrs. Somehow I think it would be easier to fake these ripoffs and pay the no-doubt modest prices to sex workers' agencies in Prague than run around looking for "dumb sluts" to screw over. Again, though, the sex is on target and the camerawork quite adequate. The on-location filming gives it a certain flair and ambience, regardless of whether you buy into the premise or not.

Content Count and Tech Specs:

With so many sites on offer, it's perhaps not too surprising that none of them is really huge. With sixteen movies of 30-45+ minutes each in length, chicksgobothways.com falls right around the middle of the range in terms of raw amount of content. Each film has a sizable photo set accompanying it. You're looking at between 100 and 200 pics per gallery on average with a resolution of roughly 600X800 as the norm. Videos are all Windows Media format (wmv) offered in three choices of streaming bandwidth (56, 150, and 300kb/s) or as a 768kb/s download. More recent updates feature the possibility of grabbing a whole 200-350 meg video in one go, and all the sites I checked out seem to be gradually offering the older films in this format. Where not available, high bandwidth users will just have to deal with the 6-8 segments that each complete film is divided into. As a final note, I found the bonus and extras sections to contain quite a lot of material in roughly the same format and of the same quality as the main material. If you're at all afraid that there's not quite enough content, these additional archives should put your mind at rest.

The final word:

In terms of a single membership to a lesbian amateur site, chicksgobothways.com is probably not your best bet. In terms of a complete porn package, however, what you'll get for $29.99/month with these folks is pretty impressive. I'm not really comfortable putting the whole lot into the amateur category, but I was quite happy that what I might have lost in the absence of big-name stars was more made up for with the spirited sex that seems to define many of these sites. Maybe it's the small-scale production that puts the performers at ease, but whatever the reason, the featured women seem to enjoy their work. Women, bi-guys, and fans of TVTS will find the inclusion of the gay and tranny sites refreshing. Not many online porn packages cross the boundaries between mainstream, hetero hardcore and gay/bi porn, making this a good choice for those with wide-ranging tastes or mixed households. Even for those wanting something pretty much straight ahead, there's more than enough original content here featuring good old fashion hardcore action (without any particular anal emphasis, granted) and plenty of facial finishes. In short, this is a serious package that easily justifies its price with solid production values and original content.
