Review of Bad Tushy:

First Impressions:

Every so often a niche or low-budget "fringe" site comes along that threatens to blow whatever fetish it features into the mainstream. Okay, this isn't it. As a showcase of spanking photos and short videos, though, it does qualify as fetish and, after a quick browsing session, definitely looks low budget. For specialty sites, being big-budget is of course a near impossibility, so we won't hold the website-in-a-box look of the place against them. As anyone who dines out of a dingy take-out joint that serves up food too good to believe knows, it ain't about the décor.

So you've been bad?

Okay, it's simple and no frills, but it's the content that will ultimately make or break this one. 122 short videos, each cut into 2 to 4 chapters and more than 130 photo galleries of 60 to 120 pics each makes for a respectable amount of material to work with. Some of the more recent videos range up to 9 meg or so per segment, while some of the oldest are only 2 meg or thereabouts. Duration is between 1and 3 minutes per segment, with quality ranging from 256kb/s, (encoded with older compression algorithms and looking quite blocky) to crisper 450 kb/s flics. Pics look nice, but falling between 400X600 and 500X700, they're not exactly wallpaper material. All in all, we're not talking state of the art, obviously, making badtushy.com friendlier to dialup users than high-speed content cruisers looking for maximum download efficiency.

To be clear: spanking is the climax of the all the flics, rather than the foreplay or the spice in the sauce, so to speak. Each film has a bit of a narrative and builds to a red-bottomed conclusion. This seems to require a lot of inane dialogue, like: "So are you going to keep, uh, spending my money, writing off bills without my permission? Are you, huh?" Or, "pay the bills, stop fucking all these guys! You promise you're going to be a good girl?" On the whole, the performances range from fully silly to nearly convincing. It all depends on your perspective, but as spanking is the central focus of all the content, you may or may not be disappointed to hear the line that seems to cue the end of many flics: "Okay bad girl, let's go fuck in the room." I for one would like to see a bit more of that offscreen action, but again, serious spankologists may not be pariticuarly bothered by this omission.

In terms of the peripheral action, there's a bit of butt play, and some of the models genuinely seem to get into masturbating along to their punishment, but beyond a few select moments, there's very little penetration of any sort going on. Some of the scenarios are fully on the softcore tip, panties staying well in place throughout, but most of the galleries and movies stick to the formula: 1.) Spanker tells spankee how bad she's been. 2.) Spanker undresses spankee and maneuvers her into position revealing tail ends in full detail. 3.) Repeating again how bad the spankee's been and how much she deserves what she's getting, spanker unloads on bad girl with palms, paddles, or the occasional silicone novelty item. Don't get me wrong: there's a fair bit of variation in the scenarios and acting, but there's definitely a pretty stock script that's basically just spun in slightly different variations. And just for the record, does anyone really ask for their "tushy" to be spanked?


Will I need to be punished for joining?

Again, it all depends on your commitment to spanking for the sake of spanking. I generally found the models to be pretty and spirited, the acting and dialogue humorous, and the whole thing fairly sexy. And this coming from an admitted dilettante. Sure, I like spanking and those raw, red bottoms are certainly a turn on, but given the technical specs and lack of real sex to fill out the menu, I'd probably take a pass on this one if it were my hard earned cash on the line. If you suspect this might be right up your alley (no pun intended), however, the introductory price of $18.95 for 30 days may well be worth it for the sheer volume of original content and for the 60+ cute young bottoms that are submitted to the palm or paddle. No hardcore S&M or even much sex here, but plenty of playful and sexy spanking sessions to please the real fans of the genre.
