Review of Crystal Clear Movies:

It often seems that on the internet, it is often hard to find a diamond in the rough. Well, in today's site review, I believe I have found one in crystalclearmovies.com. First things first: this is a movie site. If you are looking for pictures, this site will be of little or no interest to you. If you are on a dialup, well, a short movie is still around 20 MEGS, so be forewarned of possible download times. First impression is that it is a very clean site with not a lot going on, very appealing to me.

If you like movies, though, this place is a very good site. The setup is striking on impact. When you go to a page, you get nine pictures of the movie your about to download in thumbnail form, with the option of looking at more. You also get a text description of the movie, one that is actually long and fairly well written, if you're into that sort of thing. I'm more of a picture oriented guy myself.

Before you join you can go through all the movies yourself and here you get the descriptions as well along with all the technical data you could need, here is an example:

One thing a lot of people wonder about video sites is what format of video is used and the quality of each. Crystal Clear Movies really shocked me with their setup, one that I wish more sites would use. They have High Quality WMVs, for those who want high quality and can run those on their computer. But even better, they have a high quality MPG as well. I like this option, because on many computers, WMVs just don't run well. If you have a computer like this, this is a great site for you. What is the most impressive part of this site is that you have a choice between 3 different quality levels but to be honest dial-up users really have no business here because even the "worst" quality level here is still pretty damn good. The biggest reason dial-up users should go elsewhere is that there are NO SEGMENTS here, even if the movie is 50 minutes long and the highest quality level would mean 650MB file, it is NOT cut up and the quality is just, well, crystal clear ;) There is an option to watch the movies streaming too but only in the lowest quality, this can also be downloaded. With these videos I think the webmaster has made some very smart decisions and I hope it pays off for him.

Webmasters claim to update Crystal Clear Movies once a day, on business days. Each update brings a new movie and I have been checking the site every day for 4 days now and they didn't miss an update yet.. Good bang for your buck in this department.

With all that out of the way, the actual movies. The movies are very similiar to the ones you go out and buy on DVD nowadays. In fact, this site does not promise or have original content, so I believe that most of these scenes can be found on DVD out there. There are some known stars in the videos, such as Mr. Marcus and Jessica Darling. That said, if you are looking for more amateur content, this website might lose a few points for you. It is all ultra professionally done, and you can tell.

The movies are categorized in two ways. You can either view the thumbnails in the order they were put on the website, or you can view the movies by category. The categories are pretty specific. There is a category for veggies. So it's not just "boy girl, boy boy girl" categories.

Conclusions:
Crystal Clear Movies is a site worth checking out for movie fans. If you're into more amateur material, you might not be as interested. This is a nice little diversion from the big movie sites. What it does offer that the big movie sites is a nice trial price, different formats of videos, and the site is just a very clean site. In one sense this review is just a short tale of our experience on the inside but really, before you even join you can go over all the movies simply follow our link and start looking because you can also check out a 30 second sample of every movie, you can't be much more straight forward than this, thumbs up and may others follow this example.
