| Review of SDW Scan:
Finally I have been asked to review a decent picture site again, lately it's all about the video clips, every new site that starts up is offering hundreds of old porn movies for download and offering high quality and exclusive pictures has become secondary for most of these porn tycoons. Like I've said in a couple of reviews before, I still appreciate the pictures because if they are shot right one picture can easily be as erotic as a 30 second video clip and the guy behind sdwscan is certainly thinking quality when shooting his material. Also SDWScan is now offering video clips of most of the models here, not so much that it's taking focus from the picture sets yet but it's also nice to see the models squirming in some short clips to give them that extra dimension.
I would categorize the site as an amateur site but shot by a professional photographer, other sites in this category that goes for the same kind of erotica would be simonscans, alsscan and inthecrack (even if this doesn't emphasize so much on close-ups). Even if there is a small "multiple models" section in the members area it's still a very small section and the real action is to be found in the single models section. Here you will find the models doing just about any nasty deed you can think of from insertions of vegetables to squirting but the red line is girls masturbating on camera.
The pictures are of really high quality and the sharpness is simply delightful enjoyed especially in the fantastic close-ups of the girls. It may not have as many total close-ups as inthecrack but to compare the quality is right up there when they move in close as well as from all the other angles. These are not just pictures shot by the dozens to supply a huge-mega porn site with material, attention has been paid to every model and every angle of her is covered as she pleasures herself, I must say I enjoyed all the sets very much, even if the model wasn't the kind of girl I would look twice at on the street I still found the picture sets very erotic. The video clips are just as high quality and also very erotic, unfortunately the clips are quite brief and we pay for the high quality with our bandwidth as they are all in mpeg format. The mpeg format becomes quite large if you do not compromise the quality and a 1 minute clip is therefore just around 11MB in size but then we also get perfect DVD quality when exploring the girl's bodies in motion. A switch from mpeg to divx/xvid in the future might help both the webmaster and us save on bandwidth but when all is said and done quality is definitely top notch and the video clips are extremely enjoyable, though a bit short:
Surfing the site is not hard though I wish the design would be a bit slicker to look at, right now it kinda looks like a leftover from the nineties and I think a more appealing design might help show off the excellent material in an even more appetizing way. When it comes to user friendliness in the design however, it's very easy to navigate. Everything is navigated by the model, if you click the picture page you then get an overview of the latest pics and videos and then you get a thumbnailed list of all the models in alphabetical order. Under each model you will then find both her pictures and the video clips available of her, if any. The pictures can be browsed in low or high quality or the complete set can be downloaded in zipped format, lovely!
Conclusion:
I enjoyed this site a great deal because I enjoy erotic sites just as much as a good hardcore site and because the quality and attention to details is top notch. I am a bit confused that I hardly saw any sets shot in 2003 though not even the latest updates ones, maybe content is rotated I don't know. Updates are regular and one new set is added every other day.
If you go to the site you can also see a thumbnail of all the models available here, that combined with a nice preview area should help most users to find out if this is for them and the option of signing up for a NON-recurring 1 month membership definitely shows intention of not just screwing over their members, recurring options are available if you want it though. My biggest worry was that I couldn't find out if this was old content that was being reused because the dates on the pictures indicated that it was old sets being dug up from the past, in other words it might be the same content that is being rotated, which of course shouldn't worry new members.
This is a high quality site with a nice amount of content.
