| Review of Land of Venus:
Lately I have been neclecting a genre which has really always been popular in the internet porn world, and that is live shows. If we go back a few years to 1997 which is when Venus went online with her site everybody was talking about watching live nude girls online, but the ones who actually tried to watch it, got a disappointment of a lifetime. People would go online with the 33.6 bps modem to watch live shows and needless to say this combination was not a winner. Well since Venus started out as the first amateur site to do live streaming video/audio shows the net has come a long way (or so they keep telling me). Most of the liveshows I attend still look like crap even if I am on a 2 mbit connection, but occasionally you bump into some real quality live shows that has the bandwidth to handle anything and give broadband users the fluid show they came looking for.
I did not find much background on Venus, who she is and why she is doing this whole thing, but after looking around a bit I came to the conclusion that this site is for 2 kinds of people, live-show-lovers and fittness freaks. Venus is extremely well trimmed, looking at her tummy you would think she just swallowed a complete petanque set, when infact all she does is work out ;)
Well I did manage to find out that Venus' name is actually Hope which confused me a little. Apparently she has won a lot of contest in the past (don't know if she still attends) she has played american football on a boys team (what?!) and held some sort of weight lifting record (I know nothing about this!).
Well getting back to what is in this site, currently she offers around 85 photo sessions of herself, 29 of her girl friend Billie, 13 of a girl named Brandi and 5 of Angelina which is the latest addition. These pictures are of good quality even if they are not of the biggest resolution, they are usually sharp. I would say that the main reason to check out Venus' gallery would be if you are into really fit women.
Besides these galleries you can also check out some webcam dumps from earlier shows with Venus, these are small and of poor quality and I doubt that anyone really wants to go through them.
This sites forte however is the live shows, although it offers a lot of leased video feeds which are seen almost everywhere these days. It's a nice collection of feeds if you are into that, I got the impression from the message board here that, that is not really what people come here for....understandable.
I focussed only on the live chat shows after this. First I went to the Amateur Cams, this doesn't look like it's exclusive to Venus' site, but it was pretty well built up. Nice comprehensible schedules of the girls/couples and the quality was good all the way. I talked to a girl names Lexi who was really hot, I was only there for 15 minutes although she would have been there for an hour. I kind of had to rush through everything because of the time difference between Europe and the US. The times on all the schedules I encoutered were always shown as EST, so keep this in mind when trying to catch your favorite online.
I was a bit disappointed that there were not live chat shows all day. If you are unlucky enough (like to) to be in Europe and like to look at porn in the afternoon, that's just too bad because they only have schedules from 12 am to like 1 pm EST and that leaves a gap for EU users, also for US users too I suspect who like to stay up late and catch some porn.
It's all pretty much the same thing with live shows, if you are reading this you are probably already interested in the whole live theme so to you I will say this: You get access to lots of chats with cam girls, the feeds are good (using emulive all of them it appears). And it's not always crowded so you can have a pleasant chat with the girls, or sometimes catch some hardcore sex. This site should not be considered hardcore though it's more like interacting with nude girls, yes that's how I look at it.

Conclusions:
At first I was kind of disappointed about this site, but this is mainly because I don't go for the live shows. I like to actually download clips instead. Putting that aside I find the shows here much to my liking, I liked the sound, the picture quality and the easy schedules. Also I like that I could be almost alone with a girl here (almost!). I think a lot of the leased material here is unnescesary, still it's nice for only $15. The site could use a good cleaning to give better overview of the content here. right now I see loads of links listed on the frontpage, this could be served off better and be more categorized. Also it would be nice with some more info on all these leased feeds instead of just offering them like everyone else does.
I will give this site 3 stars, just for the live shows as it really doesn't go to great extra lengths.
