| Review of Model Flats:
A lot of women aspire to be a model. However, very few can actually make it in the modeling world. So what happens to the rest of them? Well, I'm sure some go to the hardcore porn side of things. Others probably just go back to school, become housewives, or even musicians. I don't really know. All I know is that models can be extremely sexy. So todays site offers us a batch of prospective models. Some might become actual models, and others might end up on a different kind of website. But for the right here, the right now, we can enjoy the beauty of these women.
Model Flats is a site with a focus on models. The idea of the name is that it refers to the places that agencies put up new models that they work with when they don't have a place to stay in the big city. Hey, it might not make the most sense- but then again I am not a model. At least it is a little different from a regular, cookie cutter softcore site where they just show you the girls. Anyways, the focus here is on young models. It is a pretty tame website through and through. There are a lot of sites like this on the market, so lets see if Model Flats can stand up to the fierce competition.
When you first sign into Model Flats, you get a pretty organized site. The top of the site has a toolbar with options to navigate through the site. The left hand frame has links to the various archive sections of the site. The middle frame has all of the latest updates, one thumbnail per set. These go back about a month right here on the front page, and there are multiple pages of this. The right frame has a little explanation of how to navigate these pictures, and then it has blurbs for each of the sets on the middle frame. I thought this was weird but at the same time kind of cool. I mean, those who like reading the stuff can scroll down and do it. Those who don't, like me, just have the bare bones in the middle frame. The front page is nice, but the rest of the site can be confusing. You really need to get the hang of navigating through the "flats" if you want to go through that way. I would almost suggest just going through the models page. But even that doesn't have the best setup in the world. Well, either way, it's not flawless, that is for sure. They should stick with the cool design of the front page.
The pictures are far and away the focus here on Model Flats. When you click on a set, you get all of the thumbnails of the set on one page. Realize that here, the site focuses on quality over quantity, so there are some sets with only 20-30 pictures per set. No problem with that! You have the option of low res pics or high res pics. The site has a nice navigation system where you can move from picture to picture in a set, and also change the color of the background. I know that doesn't seem like a huge feature, but you should see the pukey color they have as their regular color. I just don't like it. There is a little icon bar at the bottom to help you navigate. Unfortunately, the icons don't have names, and some of them are not the easiest to understand right away.
Enough about setup, how about the actual pictures?! Well, they are pretty good pictures. At high resolution, the pictures look good but they are not the best I've ever seen. I don't mean to slag them, but basically the feeling I got here was bland. Maybe because the girls are being more model oriented than trying to look sexy, I don't know what it is. But the pictures are nice and well thought out. I just couldn't find myself getting too interested in them.
There are also videos available on Model Flats. Oh god, get ready for this. For each video, you can download a WMV or a MOV file. But if you join the site for three months for 100 dollars, you can get access to a good quality DVD file. What a rip! I hate it when sites have you join and then try to hide content or get you to buy more. So we are stuck with 512k videos, and the videos aren't even all that good in the first place. I will say that the videos tend to have more hardcore in them than the picture sets. But still, what a total rip!
The girls on Model Flats are cute looking younger girls. Could they someday be models? I don't know, there are some pretty nasty looking models out there. None of the girls really stunned me here. They have an attractive selection, don't get me wrong. But I think the site should just be a little more focused on the girls. Now, the action here is primarily posing and solo stuff. As I said, the videos get a little hardcore sometimes, but that is about it. Don't come here expecting anything too risque. It's good action, but you need to know what you are getting into here.
At the time of review, there were 32,000 photos and 126 videos. Now that is a nice amount of content. They update daily with either a photo set or a video set. More than likely it will be a photo set. This is a nice amount of content, and if the girls and the site setup is to your liking, you can definately spend some time on here. There are no bonus sites, which really isn't a surprise. The site is updated often and religiously, so that is a very good thing in my mind.
Conclusion
Model Flats comes off a little flat for me. I will be the first to say that this isn't my type of site, but this one just seemed bland. Kind of like there wasn't a whole lot of passion to it. Now, if you like the model type softcore stuff, you should definately raise an eyebrow here. But that would be after checking some of the more higher rated stuff in this class.
