| I've always broken down porn into three categories. There is your professional porn, which is very staged and made up, this is a lot of the porn you go out and buy in stores. The second is pro amateur porn. This is stuff that doesn't feature as made up women or as much polish as I like to say. I would classify a majority of the reality sites in this category. This also happens to be my favorite category. Third is true amateur. This is your fat next door neighbors doing anal. I don't mean to sound demeaning, as many true amateurs are just as hot as porn stars. But it basically can be anybody, and usually is anybody. The majority of websites we look at are in the first two categories. Today we will break out of that mold and look at a true amateur site.
Private Sight is a site with a focus on member submissions. Now, I've done a few sites like this before and I am always extremely complimentary of them. I love the concept of true amateur porn. I said before that its not my favorite, and the only thing that keeps it from not being my favorite is that the production sometimes isn't good. But that is also what makes it amateur, so I guess I will never have it as a favorite. Anyways, Private Sight is a site with a focus on amateur stuff. Let's take a look into it.
The main page of Private Sight starts with a little topbar. This looks quite primitive with its little icons, but at the same time a little charming. Underneath this are little tiny icon like thumbnails of the latest updates. These really don't show all that much. Underneath this is more previews, this time of new stories that have been added. Then we get the top rated movies and pictures with the same small thumbnail treatment. And then underneath this we have the categories of movies and the categories of pictures. And that is about it for the front page. It's simple and unimpressive, but not in a good way. The previews are just way too small and the site is just way too simple, there is no good preview system in place and there isn't any text to justify the non-existence of the thumbnails. There is good simple and bad simple, and this one lies more to the bad side although not horrible by any means.
The videos seem to be the bigger focus on this site. When you log into the videos section, you have six categories of videos you can check out. They are anal sex, interracial, hidden, oral, special, bisexual, solo, and me and her. One of my biggest issues with the video page is that the thumbnails take forever to load. It's almost as if the site is on one of those Hometown AOL type servers. I know, that is extreme, but I am serious. Most of the movies here are very short clips and only available in one speed. A few of them have a few segments, and those are also available as one full movie. Either way you do it, the videos are short as shit. Hey, the one video I downloaded that had three segments had a total full video size of 2.4 megs! One has to wonder why segments were even needed in this case. This is the case for all of the "movies", they are much more clips than they are movies.
Speaking of the movies, the quality is just poor. I know, this is supposed to be an all amateur site. But these videos just look like shit. If I made most of these videos, I'd be too ashamed to even send them in to a website. I know there are some good amateur video makers out there, I guess they are going to all of the other sites like this out there and leaving the crap for Private Sight! Either way, the videos are just a huge letdown. I was so anxious to check them out seeing as how I like true amateur stuff. But this just didn't cut it.
The same would be true for the pictures here. The categories for pictures are wife pics, wife cumshots, my pantyhose, my panties, our creamshot, our interracial, and blowjob wife. Again, you get just one bigger thumbnail which is hard to look at. The worst part here is that each set only has the one picture, and clicking the thumbnail just gives you a full size of that picture. That is just wrong, weak and lame. Throw a true set in her for gods sake! The pictures themselves are really a range from ok to good, but the simple fact is that we need sets, not single pictures!
I mentioned the slow website, but let me reiterate. This is one of the consistently slowest websites I have ever encountered, porn or otherwise. So slow that I have delayed this review for very long, hoping I could eventually get a good connection and peruse everything. Well, guess what, I never did, so I just let everything load overnight and here I am. I like the concept, and I appreciate some of the ideas behind the site. But its just not where it needs to be, or even close.
One of the ideas that I do like is that Private Site has an in site mail system. So if you particularly like seeing one young lass taking on a black guy, you can email said young lass and black guy and voice your appreciation. I think it is a really cool system.
One thing I didn't care for is that the screening here also seems to be pretty low. I mean, I saw a few pictures that obviously weren't amateur. Even in the comments for one another member said where it was from, but it still hasn't been taken down! It's stuff like this, the real important stuff, that makes this site ultimately falter.
Conclusion
This site just doesn't have what it takes to be a paysite. If this was free, it wouldn't be a terrible site to visit here and there. But asking a price, even if it is slightly less than most sites, is just wrong. This site has ages to catch up on thing like site design, quality, and just overall everything. Not recommended at all.
