| Review of Cum Academy:
There are all kinds of things you can learn in the academy. You can learn how to be a man, how to be a woman, and how to live a full life. Hey, you can learn all kinds of life skills. How to balance a checkbook, how to take care of yourself financially in the future. What if there was a sex academy? I'm sure that some people have toyed with the idea, but it would also be highly illegal in this country at least. But wouldn't it be nice to learn some new stuff in an environment like that? I think so, and what got me thinking of all of this was the site entitled Cum Academy.
Cum Academy is kind of an old school site with a focus on cumshots. Actually, what this site really reminds me of is an old school filler site. The kind of site you join, then when you join it you are like "fuck!" I had this happen a lot of the time when I was younger, and before I found a place like Pornliving to lead me in the right way. With that said, I don't want to do the whole review in one paragraph. We should extrapolate it more.
The front page just looks like a crap site right away. After the banner there are some ad links. There is a banner of the latest content. This doesn't even look all that great either. Kind of generic and played out. You get one tiny, AIM-icon sized picture for each set. This works for past, recent, and upcoming updates. Then there are a couple of movies with bigger thumbnails. Then there are a bunch of links, a mixture of ads, crap, and actual site links. It is kind of hard to decipher everything. Then there is a boatload of leased site links. And then more leased stuff, and then more ads, and then links to other sites (ads), and then DVDs, and thats it. As you can tell, the site is very convuluted and generic. Not a good start at all!
Cum Academy has a dual focus on both pictures and videos. Well, the biggest thing with this is that they are both generic. Both the pictures and the videos have been seen on many other sites before. As I said before, these are complete filler unexclusive content. But we will take a somewhat closer look at it anyway.
The picture section is set up with one thumbnail per set on the main pictures page. You can then choose either high or low quality pictures. The page runs a little long with content, and it does get spread along three pages. But I think it would be more effective if it was something like five pages. The pictures at high quality are 768 x 1024 pixels and they look pretty good. The thing is, they looked good the first time I saw them as well.
The videos on Cum Academy are also extremely generic. They are done as MPGs and they actually look pretty good, but there is a little bit of pixelness and bluriness still there. The biggest problem is that this same collection of movies has been doing the rounds for a long time now. Just like the pictures, they are pretty decent, but they have been around for a while. And also, if you are going to use unexclusive content, at least try to have it match up with the theme somewhat. I mean, these are just regular porn videos. Sure, there are cumshots in it, but there is nothing here to me that screams cum.
Well, I guess thats the site. You get the idea; generic and done before. They update the site daily with pictures and weekly with videos. But it won't do you much good if you've already seen all the stuff before, so its a waste really. You also get a network of like sites, and by like I mean they are all generic and crappy.
Conclusion
Hell, even if this was all exclusive and not even available anywhere else it wouldn't be a good grouping of content. It is not really relevant to the name, or good at all. Basically, don't waste your time with this when there is plenty of great porn out in the world for you to explore.
