I think that, for today, we should take a ride. No, not a ride like on a ferris wheel or on a roller coaster or anything. Sure, that would be fun, but it's early in the morning and I am on a full stomach. I'm talking about a ride through the underground, the underworld of amateur porn. You see, porn isn't just what you see in the video stores. There are lots of people like you and me producing porn daily. And there are lots of people better looking than you and me doing it! UK Amateur Sex Land is a site focused on bringing you pictures and movies from amateurs in the UK. Now, I always liked the amateur theme but the one word can evoke many thoughts. There is the amateur in the porn video sense, where the girls haven't been in many porns but it is professional porn. There is true amateur, which is shot and captured completely amateurly. And then there is stuff like reality sites, which is a mixture of both. They have the resources to do great porn, but they often have newer girls in the mix as well. This site is a nice little twist on amateur as the girls actually look and are amateurs, but for the most part a lot of the stuff is done in a professional manner. So it's not like a true amateur site, but it offers some of the girls that would show up on there. Is this confusing enough? Sorry, we can try talking it through now!
When you first sign into UK Amateur Sex Land, you are given a page that is pretty simplistic with just some text, a few thumbnails of the latest updates (but these are small ones) and then you can just go to either photo, video, or stories. The photo tag is kind of misleading, because this page serves more like a update page. It shows the latest video updates in there as well. Each has a nice thumbnail and the pertinent information. You can scroll through the months all the way back to September 2002. There is a very annoying list of categories that scrolls with you as you go down. Sure, having the categories is cool, but the scrolling thing annoys the piss out of you and also covers up the first thumbnail on there. Otherwise though, this is a clean site design. I personally think that the site would be better served if it had bigger, or maybe a few more, thumbnails and less per page. Thats just me, but I found myself skipping over some content that really was good even after my second or third look on the site. So that was a pretty big minus, and overall while the design isn't horrible I just found it to be a little unsatisfying.
The pictures are definately the bigger focus here, and you have a few different ways you can check them out. You can go to the photos page, which lists them by update time. There is a models page where you can see them by model. By the way, the thumbnails of the models here are pretty small and insignificant. It's cool to have them listed by model, but I could take a better thumb of them. And your final option is to check the stuff out by category, which is a pretty nice long and exhaustive list as well. I'd say just go by model, but thats just me. Each way has advantages and disadvantages. Well we got the setup stuff out of the way, let's talk pictures now.
The pictures here, as mentioned before, are done in a very professional manner. That said, they are still of amateur women. Does this mix work? Yes, to a point. My biggest issue with the pictures is that they look a little aged. I don't know exactly how to explain it, but I get this a lot with some pictures. They are great pictures, shot well and look well. But I think if someone put a little bit more crispness into them, they would be way better. I didn't save any of the pictures and this was why. Of course, I'm weird, so maybe it's just me. The pics are 1024 x 680 pixels and don't get me wrong, they are definately worth looking at, it's just not really working for me personally.
One other issue I had was that each picture opens in a new window, which can be good sometimes but annoying others. I don't really like clicking from window to window and I prefer same window pictures personally. But again, thats a personal thing for me. What I would have really liked is a zip download of the picture sets. That would have been a really awesome feature.
The site also has a videos section, and it is really a mixed bag. First of all, the video content is really good. I thought the action was really nice and I found myself really getting into the videos. The biggest, and only issue is that the quality is the absolute pits. We're talking about a 250k quality here, graininess all over the place, and some movies going as far as being unwatchable in full screen. And its a crying shame, because as I said some of the content of these are really good. You have options here, but not enough: WMV in 56k, 128k, and 256k and Real Video in the same options.
The girls here are a big mix. While many of them are definately amateurs, many of them could also appear in porn and not be out of place. It's a nice mixture like that, and with the sheer amount of females, you will no doubt find one that you adore and wish there were more sets of. But until then, you must search out the others! The action here is lots of hardcore sex. Usually picture based sites focus on solo stuff here, but I'd say hardcore is the soup of the day on UK Amateur Sex Land.
Content? Hell yeah there is content here on UK Amateur Sex Land. There is a new set added daily! They have been at this since 2002, so lets say there is easily 1000 sets right now. These are pics I'm talking about. The videos come in weekly, so there are only 141 of them right now. And when you say only 141, you know a site is heavy! Tons of stuff to go through here, no real bonus sites but who needs them when you have a site like this? And with new sets daily, you'll always have something to look at.
Conclusion
UK Amateur Sex Land has some things that definately need a little tweaking. I'd like to see a little more crisp in the photos, and a lot more quality in the videos. It is still a very heavy, good site though. It's these problems that stop it from being "great" and put it squarely in the good category.
