| Review of Teen Mega World:
There is a growing trend of mega-things in the world. The TV show King of the Hill used to poke fun at this by their popular store, Megalo Mart which seemed to have everything and anything a person could want. Regular gas stations are no longer just gas stations, they are mega marts, and you can get anything there too. Is anything small anymore? It doesn't seem like it. So why should teen sites be small? There are lots of teen sites out there, but none of them really seem grouped together like they should be. Enter Teen Mega World, a site which has nine different teen sites on it... and also the subject of todays review!
Teen Mega World is a site that groups together nine individual teen sites with one password. I guess you could consider it a network, but its not really. You see, I consider a site a network when it has several often updated sites. This all just seems to be the same site with different names, and a few different themes here. So don't be confused if I generalize quite a bit here, because pretty much all of the stuff runs the same. It won't be like a regular network wrap-up you see here, because usually on those networks the sites are good enough for us to individually review. I guess you can see where I am going with this, so let's begin with the reasons not to join up with Teen Mega World.
When you first sign into Teen Mega World, you are given the portal to all of the sites included. Then when you click on a site, you must enter a generic username and password. This is just a redundant waste of time for me. All of the sites included here tend to run pretty simply, with very little good thumbnails. The previews just aren't good, and you can tell that not a lot of time or thought was put into the making of these sites. The thumbnails are tiny throughout all of the sites, and theres usually just one to show off an entire set. Navigating through the sites could be made a lot easier, but this way you have to enter in a million names and passwords to get through the entire network. Not that you're going to want to do that, but just in case you did. The site design is just the beginning of the sites problems, lets get into the focuses of the sites now.
This is pretty much an all video network. I am going to say the problems right out front and away, instead of giving you a bunch of technical information you won't use. The biggest problem, other than the crappy previews, is the originality. These videos just aren't original. They can be seen on many places on the net, and chances are you have seen these before. Maybe not all of them, but a lot of them. Which leads me to the second biggest problem, and that is the quality. These videos are horrid, they look like something that was done in the mid-1990's and thats because they probably are. I'm talking video quality wise. And whats worse is that they have the gall to segment them, even though most of the files aren't even that big! Actually, they probably came that way, but if you are going to put up unoriginal content, at least change it a little bit to make it more presentable. Speaking of which, nothing here is presentable at all. I deleted every little single thing I downloaded here. And I don't miss it at all.
In case you did care about specifics, the majority of these movies are MPGs, segmented (heavily and unneccesarily in some cases) and they are not uniquely named. You are just jumping to sign up here aren't you? Well, continue to jump higher, we're only halfway through.
Pictures on this site are pretty much a nonissue. Most of the sites here don't have pictures. I will say that the one site here that did have pictures, they weren't all that bad. I'm not sure how that happened, but hey if the rest of the site is a turd, than it doesn't really matter much.
And turd is how I would definately describe this stuff. From top to bottom its pretty crappy. They are going to appeal to the younger teen fans, because they dress up european girls who look really young, to look even younger. So someone might take a look at this and say, wow true teen I am so there! The second way they might rope you in is from the front previews page. They clean everything up and make it look pretty good. After that, they flat out fucking lie. They say this is exclusive. Lie. Top quality. Big lie. Say theres live shows. None to be found. Says theres daily updates, but the sites are all pretty light and none of them are timestamped, and i'd bet a paycheck that these are never updated. So they throw you all of these lies, and then they put an unbelievable price tag on it. It's not even worth a dollar!
Conclusion
This is horrible. Lax content, horrible quality, lies galore, and they try to say that this is comparable with the other network deals out there today. You couldn't pay me to visit these sites again, so stay far away!

$39.95 for 37 days, reverts to 30 days after first billing cycle. They say they have a week long free trial, but its another lie.
