| Review of Sleep Assault:
Sleeping is one of lifes most enjoyable activities. Sex is another one of them. It surprises me that some genius has not yet figured out how to combine the two. I've always found a sleeping woman to be extremely sexy. Especially when she is wearing one of those big night shirts with nothing on underneath. It might be a little creepy, but I like it. Speaking of creepy, todays site has a bit of that to it. It is entitled Sleep Assault, and just the name has an eery feeling to it.
Sleep Assault is a video site with a focus on having sex with a sleeping girl. Now, I know it seems creepy, but we all know that everything here is consenting. That might not make it ok in some peoples eyes, but nobody is forcing you to join the site or read the review. With that out of the way, the girl doesn't sleep throughout, although there is a bit of unconcious sex. So that is the theme, as I mentioned, you can really take it or leave it. I won't let my preferences known but anyone who knows me already will!
When you first sign into Sleep Assault, you are given a page which is really a no-nonsense listing of everything involved. The first box you see is the coming soon box, which shows a small thumbnail of the upcoming set followed by on the side a text listing of upcoming updates. Underneath this you get the sites content indexed. Each set is given a thumbnail, and clicking on it will take you to the set. These thumbnails on the front page are pretty awesome, I will say that much. They are clear, crisp thumbnails that look really good. You will read where I have problems with other parts of the site, but the thumbnailling was on par with some of the best sites I've ever seen, and I mean that. Otherwise the site is just a clean, well put together site. It is easy to use and looks great from the outside.
The videos here are what really kills the site. This is obviously a video focused site, but the videos just aren't that good. But let me stop getting ahead of myself. When you click on a thumbnail from the front page, you are given a page which has text links to download videos and also a bunch of thumbnails for a photo gallery. This is awesome, because it gives you a bigger selection pool when looking at thumbs, but at the same time gives you the pictures right there too. This type of design wouldn't work on some sites but here it did. For video options, you can download either segments or full videos. The clips are in WMV, where as the fulls are available as high and medium WMV as well as a high quality MPG. Theres lots of choices, but I could have definately gone for a bigger spectrum, having their highs higher and their lows lower. We will get into that now when we talk about quality!
The video quality here is just a little off. That is because, well, first of all the videos are inconsistent. Some of the high quality WMVs here are 300k, whereas others are 600k. Now the 600k ones are decent, but even there you can see quite a bit of pixelation at medium and full screen. I could definately use a better quality. The MPGs aren't much better so don't think I am ignoring those, it's just that I can give you a number to associate with WMVs so it looks better on paper. On top of this all, the videos could really just be shot better as well. I think these guys need to work on that aspect as well, because when you have these girls who look like professional porn girls, and then have the camera stuff be substandard, it just doesn't look right.
The pictures here are much, much better. You get really nicely shot pictures with a great look and a clean, crisp aspect to them. I doubt these are vidcaps but it does look like the action was taken at the same time. Either way everything here looks really, really nice and I can do nothing but compliment the work here. It's just a shame that they couldn't put the awesomeness of the photographer to work into the videography. It's usually the other way around, so this was a surprise, and while it might be an oddity, its not really a pleasant one.
The girls on Sleep Assault, are, as I mentioned before, more along the lines of the hot porn star looking girls. They are very good looking girls, but this isn't really the place to go if you are looking for the more amateur side of things. Nothing wrong with this at all, I actually enjoy it quite a bit, but for some who like them more lifelike, this might not be the place for you. The actual sex does begin on a sleeping girl, eventually she wakes up and participates. Regardless of your feelings of how this plays out, it does make for a more varied, interesting experience as far as the action goes. And variance is never a bad thing in my book! So some good, interesting action that might appeal to you, on some girls who don't really fit the role of innocent sleeping princesses in my mind.
At the time of review, there were a total of 10 sets of content on Sleep Assault. Seeing as how this is a newer site and a newer network, it is acceptable to have this amount. What is bright is the fact that the site is updated with a new one every two or three days, which is just excellent and should get the site on its feet real quickly. Those updates aren't full set updates, but rather a component such as say pictures or a certain type of movie. But still, it remains to be a great way for everything to work out to have more updates in a short period of time!
This new network includes: Creamed Feet, Fucked Tits, Penetration Tease, Sleep Assault, Spanked and Abused, and Mother Daughter Fuck. These sites are all pretty much in their infancy, and there are some original themes and some decent content coming out of some of them. Maybe not the best network out there, but definately one with some potential to watch as a newcomer!
Conclusion
This is kind of an eh site. Unlike some of its sister sites, it does have an original theme and that makes it a little more bearable. But if they want to compete with any of the other sites offering original content out there, they just need to up the level of quality. I'd tell the webmasters to look at their pictures: they are awesome, if they can make a video look like that, up the camerawork a little, and keep the original theme, you'd have a real winner. But for right now you just have a site that needs some work.
