Review of Digital Dream Girls:
I know, I'm spoiling myself at the moment, first MacAndBumble and now DDgirls.com (Digital Dreamgirls). I can't say that it's a coincidence that I review these two high quality sites after another, I simply did not want to go back to all the crap yet. By now you should know that the rest of this review will be pretty favorable for DDgirls.
One of the things that make DDgirls great is the photographer J. Stephen Hicks, now you may not have heard about him, so I'm going to leave the introduction to DDgirls, they have a biography on him and this is how they kick it off:
"The name J. Stephen Hicks is synonymous with quality and excellence in the field of nude/glamour photography."
We will let that stand for a while on it's own......
Though this is the hideout for Mr. Hicks, he shoots not all of the photos here, far from it actually. Mr. Hicks runs his own section here called "Dreamgirls", well he doesn't actually run it, but 5 of his photo shoots are added to this section each month.
Photographer Scott Evans runs another section named "Creamgirls", pretty similar names huh? Well Scott Evans seems to pump just as high quality stuff as Stephen Hicks and both sections are equally enjoyable.
It's kind of a leap between these two photographers work and some of the other sections here. They have a section for teen models, one for busty women, a "strip show", amateurs and a new erotic story each month with pictures. The other pictures you get in the other sections are not of bad quality they just don't match the two photographers work.
You get access to an E-zine called red door, this was located on another server so I did not further investigate it because I didn't see the need.
DDgirls does well on it's own, it's has a standard of updates to reach each month in every section which pretty much ensures you new material every other day, pretty nice. The design is functional and not very heavy to surf around, it's pretty but not impressive but all in all a nice experience and easily navigated.
DDgirls comes highly recommended for it's very exclusive content and because of their obviously talented photographers who ensures high quality pictures of beautiful women. I found one minor error while surfing it though: If you hit the faq link and then another link in the site, you are suddenly outside the members area and have to either go back 2 times or re-type pass. VERY small thing I know, so I'll close off by saying 3 THUMBS UP at $19.95 a month it's a steal.
Revisit update 3rd of June, 2004
Today is the first time I signed up again for ddgirls.com since the original review. I went there both for my own sake and to see if the site has deteriorated since my last visit. Luckily they have kept up the same high standard for which this site has always been known and moved with the times as well concerning videos. In June 2003 they started adding their exclusive videos to the site with 4 new ones a month and these are great. The quality is awesome and in perfect keeping with the beautiful pictures as well. It says the videos are supposed to be streaming in 128k, 256k and DivX. Well I have never seen DivX streamed I think and don't worry it isn't here either, all three levels of quality are easily downloaded with a right-click -> save as.
The quality of the pictures is still excellent and the updates run like clockwork with 5 new picture sets added a month. The update ratio isn't overwhelming but with video you get 2 updates per week and they haven't missed an update in years.
The design got touched up a bit, it's very functional and looks a lot better now, not that it looked bad before but overall DDgirls hasn't gone downhill at all it's still one of the very best sites for glamour content out there.
