| Review of Wave Hos:
Ahh, the summer time has hit us in full force. So what better time to look at a site which is focused all on the summer time. And you know what, this is a good time to look at summertime. Every summer, I fall into what I call my summertime depression. It's when I realize that nothing I want to do will get done, I'm not going to have fun this summer, and my life is going to move into another void of hopelessness until maybe next summer. For a while, it seemed like each summer would get better and better. Nope, not this year. It's going downhill again. But, I'm sure you don't want to hear about all this. Instead, we'll just pretend, and fantasize we are banging these hot girls in bikinis at Wave Ho's.
Wave Ho's is probably one of the weird website names ever. It just doesn't sound right! The concept on the other hand, does sound right. The whole idea is to feature girls in bikinis from the beach. Now, some might think that is lame. But the whole theme actually is freaking cool. It's a very summery theme, it makes you think of vacations, vacation sex, and sex with that stranger you meet on vacation. Everyone has these fantasies. And let's also not forget that the bikini is a very sexy thing on the right woman. In fact, I've always been a bit of a bathing suite fetishist myself. I like seeing girls dressed for summer and for the beach. It's just a bit more of a turn on, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So, weird name, but cool theme and idea behind the name.
When you first sign onto Wave Hos, you are given a page which you will probably not leave the duration of your stay here. That is because most of the content is listed and downloadable right from there. Each set has five scenes, and each scene has a thumbnail. And there is also an introductory thumbnail which is not much bigger than the other thumbnails. The thumbnails are decent but nothing too special. Each set also has a little description and also a clickable link for pictures. Underneath the original content is a small section of junk, some of it better than others. At first there is the bonus content, which is a leased network, but they make it seem like more original. Then there is live show content, and then a store. And the store lists merchandise right on the page, which is not cool. And then there are links, basically links with reference numbers to get these guys some cash, to "their favorite sites on the net" Basically, if they cut all of this shit out, you'd have a decent well designed simple page. With all the crap, you have a halfway decent page which needs a good trimming!
The videos are the biggest focus here on Wave Hos. The videos come in either high or low quality WMV format. The High is listed as 768k, and the low is listed as 384k. You can either download segments, five per set, or the full video. Having the full video option is nice. Good job there. And you also get a relatively fast download here, and at high quality the file sizes are pretty managable, about 100 or so MB each. So math wizards, that would be about 25MB a segment if you are going that route. Either way, you will have a pretty easy time getting the videos, as they are just a click on the front page. Easy easy easy, and this reviewer likes easy.
The quality is one of the bigger weaknesses here. Even though the listed quality is 768k, the videos only show up as 696k. Not a huge difference, but still. And the videos seem to be in a really tiny screen at small screen. At full screen, they are ok but a little pixelated. I think what really got me here was the camerawork. I usually don't talk much about camerawork anymore, pretty much assuming its good unless I say otherwise. Well here, it just didn't do much for me. Sure, it was shot well, but it just wasn't exciting. But otherwise everything was good here!
The pictures on Wave Hos are actually really fucking good. No vidcaps here, instead they are quality camera taken pictures. They are 479 x 720 pixels and they look really nice. What really set me aback was the crisp clearness of all of the pictures. They really were well done for a video site. The one minor problem I'd bring up is that the thumbnails all load in one page, whereas a split gallery would probably work better here. It's just a lot of thumbs for one page. But otherwise, kudos on the pictures section as well.
The girls here look like your typical, younger, beach bunny type of girls. They are very attractive girls for the most part, but I also feel they are a little more "made up" in their thumbnails than they actually look in the videos. Maybe that is an aspect of the camerawork I talked about before, I don't know. The action here is pretty typical stuff. The pickup takes a bit longer than desired, then the regular stuff. Nothing too groundbreaking but I did like how in some sets there was some playing going on through the bathing suits, and I love it when a girl is getting banged with just her bathing suit pushed over a bit to expose her pussy. So that was cool, but otherwise, there wasn't much here of note.
The site claims to updated twice weekly. Now from what I see, I can guess that they put all the segments on once and then the full video on the next time. So still one update a week. Thats just my guess though. I can't tell you how faithful they are to their content, because the only date on the site was the last update date. I can tell you that right now there is 8 sets of content. That is not a big number at all, and hopefully we can see it grow with time!
As far as bonus content goes, there is no original bonus content; there is the teensforcash reality network as bonus streaming content, but that is pretty much everywhere nowadays so its not nearly as special as it used to be. Basically, you get the sites content here and thats it. There is a nicely priced trial membership here, though, so the bang for your buck factor can be a little higher for you.
Conclusion
While it does have flashes of brilliance, I think this site is just too new to get any rave reviews just yet. I'd say that this is definately a site to watch, and maybe we can come back to it in a few months. I do have a laundry list of suggestions: put timestamps on the sets, split up the picture galleries, and work on more interesting camera shots in the videos, as well as enhancing the sound. But with all that said, this is a cool theme and it can definately go places. With good pricing on the trial, I'd go for it.
